Andy Taylor
Thunder
(Reviewed by Iluvthe80s):
I
started with this album to review because it is one of my all-time favorite
80's albums. It was the first solo album for ex-Duran Duran guitarist
Andy Taylor (who had left the group in 1986). On this album he writes,
produces, and plays along with ex-Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones. This
1987 MCA release, in my opinion, was very underrated. It is a great hard
rock/pop rock album.
Two singles were spawned from this album "Don't Let Me Die Young"
and "I Might Lie". They both got some MTV airplay. Both have
catchy guitar riffs.
The album
contains 9 tracks with one, "French Guitar" being a instrumental.
The album has an equal balance of rocking songs and slower tempos. Definately
an album to check out!

Nice
review, I can't believe I missed it. I have the vinyl, but is it available
on CD? Thanks for reminding me of a great album.

Yes,
it is available on CD. I haven't seen a copy in awhile though. Ebay usually
will get lots of them.

Thanks!
Found a copy today. Strange to hear it without all the scratches from
my worn down vinyl copy.
