Sade
Diamond
Life (Reviewed by Iluvthe80s):
This
was the debut album for former model Sade in 1985. The album sold 2 million
copies and won her a Best New Artist Grammy at the Grammy Awards.
This album is full of smooth, jazz influenced songs. I definate album
to listen to while relaxing. Sade is one of the best at slow love songs.
My favorite
tracks from this album are: "Smooth Operator", "Your Love
Is King", and "Hang On To Your Love".
Tracks:
1. Smooth
Operator
2. Your Love Is King
3. Hang On To Your Love
4. Frankie's First Affair
5. When Am I Going To Make A Living
6. Cherry Pie
7. Sally
8. I Will Be Your Friend
9. Why Can't We Live Together?
Response
to this review by Steve Savicki: I have that CD and play
it back to back with Betty Wright's "Sevens" from 1986, a year
later.
Her song, "Are you gonna stand by me" just makes Sade pop into
my head. It's as though I can imaging Sade remaking that song. I'm thankful
I got "Sevens" before it went out of print. Back to Sade, "Diamond
Life" was my favorite album from her..
